I’m Nate MacKenzie – a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing space for individuals seeking support and transformation. With a deep passion for helping others and over 10 years-experience supporting people with diverse needs within the education sector, I bring a holistic approach to counselling that integrates various therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique requirements.
My goal is to empower you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a non-judgmental environment where you can gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.
You don’t have to be in, or on the verge of crisis, before having therapy.
You might be feeling dissatisfied/disconnected with life in general or seeking balance and stability. Counselling can be helpful if you’re feeling painful emotions or facing difficult decisions, if you want to improve or change your relationships, or if you’d like to develop a better understanding of yourself or others.
• Perhaps something unsettling has happened, such as a bereavement, redundancy, divorce or health scare.
• There may be something in your past that’s not been dealt with and is now interfering with your daily life
• You may want help to cope with issues such as anxiety, stress or personal problem solving
• You may feel isolated and have no one to talk to (sometimes even those with the most supportive friends and family can find it difficult to explain why they’re feeling anxious or depressed)
• You may feel confused, insecure or unsafe approaching important aspects of your identity including gender, sexuality or relationship diversity
• Or you might just find it easier to talk about personal, family or relationship issues with someone independent
“Be confused, it’s where you begin to learn new things. Be broken, it’s where you begin to heal. Be frustrated, it’s where you start to make more authentic decisions. Be sad, because if we are brave enough we can hear our heart’s wisdom through it. Be whatever you are right now. No more hiding. You are worthy, always.”
